Meet Dr. Reinherz
Dr. Benjamin Reinherz earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, graduating at the top of his class. He completed his Ophthalmology residency and served as Chief Resident at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York, followed by a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Vitreoretinal Foundation – Eye Specialty Group in Tennessee. He is board certified in Ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Reinherz has published in peer-reviewed journals, conducted macular degeneration research at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and received a grant from the American Osteopathic Foundation for providing free eye surgeries to underprivileged patients in India. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Inspired by his father, a diabetic foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Reinherz pursued vitreoretinal surgery to help patients preserve and restore their vision. Outside of medicine, he enjoys swimming, basketball, and spending time with his wife and four children. He speaks Hebrew and Spanish.
